Jackie Rockwell has done it again! She's created a fun new challenge blog
dedicated to TAGS and I'm so honored to be on the inaugural design team!

Tags can be used to decorate gifts, or added to a card or scrapbook page.
The possibilities are endless and the main thing is to have fun when you're creating them.

We're launching the new blog with a mini challenge courtesy of Karin Ã…kesdotter,
our first guest designer. Here's Karin's adorable tag.

And here's how I was inspired--ink distressing and a super cute image!

I ink distressed watercolor paper and flecked water only on the top portion.
I finally inked up Mama Elephant's Up and Away set and colored the monkey and umbrella
with Copics. The sentiment is from the same set.
I trimmed the piece into a tag shape and tied on a bit of coordinating twine.

I decided to attach the tag to a card that was stamped with Hero Arts'
Tiny Flags Background stamp. I swapped out the twine for ribbon
and added a few enamel dots for fun.

Visit the Tag You're It! Challenge blog for all the details and to meet
the rest of the design team and see their tag projects.
After you've been inspired, join us and see if you're tagged as the winner
on Friday, July 4th.

Thanks so much for stopping by and we hope you'll play along!

AEI♥U Challenge #10--GOLD

It's time for another challenge at AEI♥U Challenge and the theme is GOLD.

Use at least one Avery Elle stamp on your card and bling it with gold.
If you don't own any Avery Elle stamps, feel free to use a digital one here.
The prize for the challenge is an Avery Elle stamp set of your choice.

Here's how I was inspired.

I used Avery Elle's Circle It stamp set and stamped the cascading dots
in Delicata Gold and scattered on gold embossing powder in random places.
I added a few larger dots and the sentiment and gold embossed them
so they would stand out. The card was finished off with gold sequins.

Visit the AEI♥U Challenge blog to see how my teammates were inspired
and join us with your gold creations.
You have until Sunday, July 6th to link up your card(s).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CASual Fridays 133--Summer Lovin'

CASual Fridays 133 is SUMMER LOVIN'--create a clean and simple project
using hearts in summery colors. Here's my take on the theme.

I had this piece of ink smooshed distress inks in my scrap pile. Hot summery colors!

It was the perfect size to die cut five of CASual Fridays' Heart Notes
and adhere them to a card base. The sentiment is also from CASual Fridays.
You can't see it in the photo, but I added some shine on all the hearts
with a Wink of Stella pen.

Visit the CASual Fridays blog for all the details, and be inspired by the rest of the design team.
You have until Friday, July 18th to link up your card(s).
Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you in the gallery!

CAS(E) this Sketch 82

CAS(E) this Sketch 82 is a fun one by N@ Ali.

Here's my literal take on it.

I masked off a portion of some watercolor paper and inked it with
Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn distress inks, then spattered it with water.
The origami fox and speech bubble sentiment were colored with Copics,
die cut with the matching dies, then mounted on the inked background.

Ooh, and see that cool "hill" behind the fox? That could only be done with the new
mini blending tool! Totally unplanned, but I'm happy it wasn't a square hill...

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see how my teammates interpreted the sketch
and join us if you can. Link up your card(s) by Thursday, July 3rd.

On a sad note, this is the last challenge for Jen who is stepping down from the team.
Best of luck to you, Jen.....we'll miss you!
